Is a bulb included?
No, and that is deliberate. The socket is a standard E27, so you can choose exactly the warmth and brightness you want. A warm 2700 K bulb gives the cosiest dappled effect through the weave.
How bright is it?
It is an atmosphere and reading light, not a room light. The woven shade softens and scatters the light, so expect a warm pool around the sconce rather than an evenly lit room.
Will my shade look exactly like the photos?
The shape and finish are the same, but each shade is woven by hand from natural rattan. The weave and the colour vary slightly from piece to piece.
How high should I mount it?
Beside a bed, most people mount it about 55–65 cm above the mattress so the light falls onto the page. Over a bench or console, roughly at eye height works well.
Is it hard to install?
No. The round wooden plate screws to the wall over a standard wall outlet box and the sconce is wired like any normal wall light. If you are not comfortable with mains wiring, any electrician will do it in minutes.
